Personally, I engage in charitable activities in three main ways.
Firstly, I donate financially where I can, which is a straightforward way to support causes doing important work, often behind the scenes.
Secondly, I give my time to community support initiatives.
Finally, I take part in specific fundraising efforts. At its core, charity matters to me most because it creates opportunity, support, and hope where it’s needed most.
If you’re in a position to help—whether that’s through money, time, or effort—I believe it’s vital to step up and do something meaningful with that.

This community support initiative exists because adults caring for ageing parents are increasingly relied upon yet remain largely unsupported. Millions of people are quietly engaging in charitable activities while caring for elderly parents alongside jobs, families, and their own lives. Many do not identify as carers and receive little recognition or understanding for the role they play. As a result, many fall outside eligibility for formal support, despite carrying significant responsibility. Most are juggling work, family, and care at a cost to their own health and wellbeing.
As demand grows, the gap between what carents need and the support available to them continues to widen. Closing this gap is why The Carents Room CIC exists, and our fundraising efforts aim to bridge that divide.

I take part in specific charitable activities that give me a goal to work towards, while also raising awareness and bringing other people into the cause.
These fundraising efforts provide me with a reason to keep exercising and often turn something individual into something shared, which I think is powerful.

These fundraising efforts provide me with a reason to keep exercising and often turn something individual into something shared, which I think is powerful.
Every year, I work towards a specific challenge with a fundraising opportunity in mind to promote community support.
This year's challenge is a first for me. I'm going to cycle over 400 miles through France, over 4 days. I started cycling in November 2025 for the sole purpose of preparing for this challenge.
